Fulham midfielder adamant that his side should have had a penalty

Dickson Etuhu believes referee Peter Walton cost Fulham the game in their defeat to Tottenham on Sunday. The Cottagers had a penalty appeal turned down after Kyle Walker looked to have handled the ball in the penalty area. Shortly after, Jermaine Defoe scored to make it 3-1 to Spurs and condemn Martin Jol's side to their third Premier League defeat in four games. Fulham were 2-0 down at half-time but got back into the game due to an own-goal from Tottenham's Younes Kaboul. Etuhu, a 76th minute substitute, was adamant that his side were hard done to.

Robbed

He told the Fulham Chronicle: "We were robbed. I thought we were the better team but didn't get the luck. "The handball incident was ridiculous. I had a word with the ref but he said he didn't see, and that if it was then he's sorry. "If we got the penalty it would've been a tight game. But this is the Premier League and you get punished. "We're doing the right things and are heading in the right direction and I'm sure we'll start creeping up the table soon."
