Tottenham have confirmed that goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini has signed a one-year contract extension.

Goalkeeper committed to White Hart Lane for another 12 months

Tottenham have confirmed that goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini has signed a one-year contract extension. The former Chelsea shot-stopper is now committed to the White Hart Lane club until the summer of 2012. Cudicini, a January 2009 signing, has been largely forced to act as back-up to Heurelho Gomes, but displaced the error-prone Brazilian for the final three matches of this season. A short statement on Tottenham's official website read: "The club is delighted to announced that Carlo Cudicini has signed a one-year contract extension which runs until 2012." Cudicini, who was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in 2009 and as a result was unavailable for eight months, played 13 times in 2010/11. The Italian featured in both legs of Tottenham's UEFA Champions League matches against Inter Milan after Gomes was sent off at the Giuseppe Meazza and suspended.
