Kyle Walker admits he would be happy to return to Aston Villa next season following a successful loan spell with the club.
The Tottenham loanee has impressed the Villa coaching staff since his move in January.
Walker, 20, was initially sent out on loan to Championship table-toppers QPR in September, where he made an instant impact with a string of man of the match performances.
And, after returning to White Hart Lane in January, the full-back was sent back out on loan but this time to Villa.
He soon scored his first Premier League goal and first senior league goal against Fulham.
Now Walker has hinted that he would be happy to return to the club next season if he is unable to force his way into the Tottenham side.
He said: "My main thing is just to play football. It's the game I love. I get out of bed every morning and play football.
"That's all I really want to be doing. If I can do it at Spurs, then perfect. If not, we will see what happens.
"Would Villa be a nice option again? Villa is perfect but you never know. Football is weird."
Walker was also full of praise for caretaker boss Gary McAllister while manager Gerard Houllier recovers from his heart problem.
He said: "Macca has done brilliant to be fair. He does take training a lot and the lads have a good understanding with him.
"It's been strange (without Houllier) but good as well."
