Yannick Djalo's agent has claimed Tottenham and Newcastle are interested in signing the Portuguese.

Spurs and Magpies linked with Sporting forward

Sporting Lisbon forward Yannick Djalo's agent has claimed Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are interested in signing the Portuguese. It is suggested both Premier League clubs have made offers in the region of £4.2million as they plot for the 2010/11 season. Djalo, 24, is highly rated at Sporting, who are said to be struggling financially and could therefore be open to a lucrative offer. "The two clubs (Newcastle and Spurs) are interested," agent Lionel Silva is quoted as saying in the Sunday Sun. "But we have not reached an understanding with regard to price. We have to wait a little longer. "He (Djalo) fancies the idea of going to England, because playing in the English Premier League is a dream for most players. "But while there is not total agreement on a deal, Yannick has to report to work (at Sporting) every day."
