Alexander Frei claims that Tottenham are among a number of teams who are chasing his signature.

Swiss striker claims that Napoli and PSG are also chasing him

Borussia Dortmund striker Alexander Frei claims that Tottenham are among a number of teams who are chasing his signature. The 29-year-old has a proven goalscoring pedigree with close to a goal every other game in both France, for Rennes, and Germany. Newspaper reports in Switzerland stated that Napoli, Spurs and PSG were chasing the frontman and this has been confirmed by the player. The Switzerland international is said to be keen on a move with his relationship with Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp believed to have become somewhat strained in recent times. "We have been approached by Napoli, PSG and Tottenham," Frei confirmed.

Defiant

But any deal for Frei may be scuppered by Klopp after he stated that he will not be forced into selling any of his star players. "Every player on a deal beyond the end of the season is part of my future plans," he told Bild. "That's the fact in terms of Alex too. Neither Borussia, nor I, are working on a black-list. We are only thinking about selling when there comes in a bid for a player. "No matter if these bids are for Frei, (Florian) Kringe, (Nuri) Sahin, (Nelson) Valdez, Dede or whoever from our squad."
