Los Che move imminent for Spurs back-up keeper

Cesar Sanchez is set to put the finishing touches on his switch from Tottenham to Valencia on Friday. The Primera Liga outfit have confirmed the 37-year-old goalkeeper will undergo a medical around midday before being officially presented to the media. Spaniard Cesar, who has played for Real Madrid during his career, joined Tottenham from Real Zaragoza last summer but has found his chances limited at White Hart Lane, where Heurelho Gomes has been the preferred stopper. Valencia have been searching for goalkeeping reinforcements after first-choice custodian Renan Brito suffered an injury last weekend and is set to be sidelined for around six weeks. Spurs, meanwhile, have been linked with several goalkeepers during the transfer window, including Shay Given of Newcastle and recently Chelsea's Carlo Cudicini.
