Chris Gunter has backed his new Tottenham team-mate Roman Pavlyuchenko to prove a success in the Premier League.
Gunter witnessed Pavlyuchenko's strengths first hand on Wednesday as the Russian striker scored from the penalty spot to help his country to a 2-1 victory over Wales.
And full-back Gunter now expects £13.8million Pavlyuchenko, who is likely to start when Spurs host Aston Villa on Monday, to catch the eye in England.
"I was impressed with him," Gunter said in The Sun.
"He did a lot of unselfish work off the ball that you appreciated when you were playing against him."
