Tottenham Hotspur defender Anthony Gardner has completed his loan move to Hull City.

Gardner has joined the Premier League new boys until January and has the option of a permanent switch to the KC Stadium.

After making just six appearances for Spurs last season, and also enduring a frustrating stint on loan at Everton, Gardner feels he has a point to prove during his time with the Tigers.

"I do feel like I've got a bit of a point to prove now," Gardner told the Hull Daily Mail.

Difficult

"Not playing regularly and being at a big club where there's lots of competition, it got very frustrating.

"Spurs are a club where you've got internationals in every position and sometimes it's difficult to cement a place and play week-in and week-out.

"Over the last two years I haven't played regularly either through that or through fitness.

"I'm looking to stay fit and play games, that's my first port of call."
