Winger leaves his future in the hands of Sevilla

Diego Capel insists that he is happy at Sevilla and has no desire to leave the club this summer. Tottenham are said to have seen an offer for the winger rejected some weeks ago, but could be tempted to make an improved bid as Juande Ramos continues his summer rebuilding programme at White Hart Lane. Capel has given conflicting responses to questions regarding his future, but appears to have accepted that his fate may lie out of his hands. "I am calm and I am only thinking about succeeding here at the moment," he told Marca. "It is clear that in the future you do not know what may happen, but I have a contract with Sevilla and I am comfortable. "The only way that things could change would be if another club and Sevilla came to an agreement."

Improving

Sevilla have allowed Seydou Keita, Daniel Alves and Christian Poulsen to leave this summer, but Capel is confident that the Andalucian club will be among the front-runners in the Primera Liga next term. "The more competition that there is, the better it is for the team," he said. "It is good for us all to work harder and to make life difficult for the coach. "I think the team will improve a lot next season and I am sure that we will not notice the players that have left as much as people are saying."
