Tottenham have agreed a fee with PSV Eindhoven for Brazil international keeper Heurelho Gomes.
Spurs have been linked with the 27-year-old ever since he impressed in PSV's penalty shoot-out success when the sides met in last season's Uefa Cup.
The White Hart Lane outfit are now closing in on his signature after agreeing an undisclosed fee for the shot-stopper.
Gomes will now travel to England to thrash out personal terms before undergoing a routine medical with Juande Ramos' side.
Tottenham will then apply for a work permit for the South American, who will complete his move to the North Londoners once it is issued.
The Brazilian keeper will bring an impressive CV with him to the Premier League having helped PSV win four successive Eredivisie titles since joining the club in 2004.
