Skysports.com understands Premier League new boys Stoke are lining up a move for Tottenham defender Anthony Gardner.
The 27-year-old is well down the pecking order at White Hart Lane after failing to convince Juande Ramos of his ability.
Gardner spent the second half of last season on loan at Everton but saw his stay at Goodison Park blighted by injury and he never made an appearance for the Toffees.
The big defender is now back to full fitness and is planning a move away in search of regular first team action.
The news has alerted Stoke boss Tony Pulis, who is thought to be a big fan of the former Port Vale star.
Pulis is keen to bolster his defence ahead of next season in the top flight and is ready to offer Gardner the chance to get his career back on track at the Britannia Stadium.
