PSV Eindhoven have revealed that they are interested in bringing Lee Young-pyo back to the Philips Stadion.

The South Korea international left the Eredivise side in the summer of 2005 to join Premier League outfit Tottenham.

He had enjoyed three successful years in Holland prior to moving to White Hart Lane, and was part of the PSV side which made it to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League in 2005.

However, after a promising start to his career at Spurs, he has found first-team opportunities difficult to come by of late and saw Spanish boss Juande Ramos bring in fellow full-backs Chris Gunter and Alan Hutton during the January transfer window.

His appearance against his former club in the second leg of the recent Uefa Cup last 16 tie in Eindhoven was his first in almost two months and he is likely to be open to a move away from North London.

PSV are understood to be monitoring Lee's situation very closely, and their sporting director Stan Valckx has refused to rule out the possibility of a summer move for the defender.

"He is still a very interesting player," Valckx told AD Sportwereld.
