Veteran Finn recovering at home after training ground incident

Fulham forward Jari Litmanen is resting at home after suffering a heart scare in training. The Finland international has yet to play for Fulham since joining the club on a free transfer in January. He has been building up his fitness, but experienced 'palpitations' in training and was sent to see a specialist. The problem is not thought to be serious, with Fulham confirming that Litmanen is currently recuperating after the incident. "Jari was experiencing some palpitations and he was immediately taken to see a specialist and was told to rest," a club spokesman told The Sun. "It does not appear to be too serious and we hope to have him back next week." Litmanen turned 37 on Wednesday and Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson is hoping the former Liverpool attacker's experience will boost the club's bid for Premier League survival.
