Ajax goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg has pledged his future to the Amsterdam giants.
Tottenham had been closely linked with a move for the Dutchman, but his immediate future is now very much with Ajax.
He had rejected Ajax's initial offer of a new deal, but he has now agreed a two-year extension taking him to 2012.
"This feels for me as the best choice," he told the club's website.
"I have a good feeling to have extended my contract and I think we can reach a lot in the future."
Ajax technical director Martin van Geel said: "Maarten is an excellent goalkeeper and he has shown remarkable progress the past years.
"He is only just 25 and his best is still to come. That is why we are very happy that he has chosen to remain Ajax's goalkeeper.
"Maarten is one of the guys in the current squad of whom we find it very important for the next seasons that they stay with the club."
