Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Ben Alnwick has joined Leicester City on loan until the end of the season.
Foxes manager Ian Holloway has been in the market for a shot-stopper after Marton Fulop was recalled from his loan spell by Sunderland boss Roy Keane.
And after securing a replacement, Holloway has spoken of his delight at acquiring a keeper with plenty of potential.
"Ben is a very good up-and-coming goalkeeper. We have been keeping an eye on his progress for some time and I am delighted to have been able to bring him here," he said.
England Under 21 international Alnwick added: "It is great to be here. I have known Richard Stearman for a number of years through the England set-up and he couldn't speak highly enough of the club when I spoke to him before the move.
"I just want to play games now and help Leicester up the table. Who knows what will happen after that?"
Meanwhile, Republic of Ireland Under 21 winger Jonathan Hayes has left Leicester to join League One side Northampton on loan for the rest of the season.
