Tottenham Hotspur have recalled Ben Alnwick from his loan spell at Luton Town.

The goalkeeper linked up with the League One club last month and had made four appearances for The Hatters.

However, following an injury to Spurs' first-choice Paul Robinson, the keeper has been summoned back to White Hart Lane.

Robinson is expected to miss Spurs' next two matches with a calf injury, leaving manager Martin Jol short on back-up.

Jol was forced to select youngster Tommy Forecast on the bench for Monday's 3-1 defeat at Newcastle United, with Radek Cerny having replaced Robinson.

Cerny will start Thursday's Uefa Cup tie with Getafe at White Hart Lane, with Alnwick expected to be among the substitutes.

Alnwick has yet to make a first-team appearance for Tottenham since moving to the capital from Sunderland in January.
