Roy Keane is 'hopeful' that Tottenham Hotspur striker Mido will plump for a move to Sunderland.
Spurs have accepted an offer from Saturday's Premier League opponents for the Egyptian, who has been interesting several other clubs.
Birmingham City have revived their bid to sign Mido, who has also claimed a third top-flight team had shown an interest.
He has held talks with The Black Cats and manager Keane expects the player to make a decision about his future on Thursday.
Wait and see
"I'm convinced we'll have an answer from Mido today," said Keane.
"I met with the player over the weekend, he's had a few days to think about it and as usual there are one or two other clubs interested.
"We're hopeful that he will make the right choice and to me the right choice would be to come to Sunderland.
"Things are agreed with Spurs, that's not the issue. The issue is whether the player wants to come and play for Sunderland.
"We'll wait and see. Whatever decision he makes, we'll respect it."
