Spurs keeper eyes Europe

Paul Robinson is confident Tottenham Hotspur can qualify for the Uefa Cup again next season.

Spurs' European adventure ended at the hands of holders Sevilla last week and Robinson is keen for another continental experience.

Martin Jol's side are currently in eighth position in the Premiership, but are level on points and have a game in hand on seventh-placed Portsmouth.

England keeper Robinson feels that extra match could prove crucial and is optimistic the club can claim a spot in the top seven.

"I believe we'll get there, yeah," said Robinson on Sky Sports News.

"We have a game in hand on both of the teams above us and Chelsea and Man Utd helped us out at the weekend by making sure they are both in the cup final, which made it seventh place in the league qualifies for Europe.

"We hope at least to finish seventh this year."

Spurs' run-in kicks off with a North London derby against Arsenal on Saturday before away games at Middlesbrough and Charlton, followed by home fixtures with Blackburn and Manchester City.
