Dutch press agency ANP are reporting that Tottenham midfielder Edgar Davids has all but sealed his move to Ajax on a free transfer.
The former Holland international has fallen out of favour this season at White Hart Lane and has been given precious little playing time by Spurs boss Martin Jol.
Reports claim Davids and Ajax have concurred on an 18-month contract, with the player to undergo a medical next week in order to make his debut against Feyenoord at the weekend.
Davids remains a firm favourite of the Dutch giants having helped Ajax to three league titles, a Uefa Cup and the UEFA Champions League during his first spell with the club at the start of his career.
In his first season in England last term Davids helped Tottenham qualify for the Uefa Cup but it would his seem that his short sojourn in the Premiership has now drawn to a close.
