Gregory Vignal has left Lens and joined Kaiserslautern on loan.
The French full back has not impressed coach Francis Gillot since his arrival from Portsmouth in the summer.
Bundesliga Zwei side Kaiserslautern have stepped in to take Vignal to Germany.
"Director of sports Francis Collado wants to announce that an agreement has been found between Lens and Kaiserslautern about Gregory Vignal, who joined last summer,Ç¥ said a statement on the club's official website.

Meanwhile, reports in France claim Adel Taarabt will definitely join Tottenham permanently next summer.
The 17-year-old has been loaned to Spurs for the rest of the season but rumours are already surfacing that a é¼3.5million (£2.35million) switch will take place.
However, the deal is unlikely to be made official until May.
Another Lens youngster, Kamil Zayatte, is undergoing a trial at Championship side Plymouth.
The 21-year-old defender has had limited opportunities at Sang-et-Or and will be hoping to impress Pilgrims boss Ian Holloway.
