Tottenham Hotspur have completed the capture of Ben Alnwick in a move that sees Marton Fulop secure a permanent switch to Sunderland.
Spurs have paid an initial £900,000 for Alnwick, rising up to £1.3 million depending on appearances, while Fulop has cost The Black Cats £500,000.
20-year-old Alnwick has been capped by England at Under 17, U18, and U19 level while he was also called up for England's Under 21s against Moldova in August.
"We are very pleased to bring another young and talented prospect to the club," sporting director Damien Comolli told the club's official website.
"Ben may only be 20 years old but he has significant international and Premiership experience. Ben showed great motivation to join us and I know he is excited to be part of our future."
Fulop, who originally joined Sunderland on an emergency loan in November, has penned a three-and-a-half-year deal at the Stadium of Light.
"Marton is a young, hungry player who clearly wants to do well for the club and hopefully he'll be a top player for Sunderland in the future," manager Roy Keane told Sunderland's official website.
