Tottenham have agreed a loan deal for Lens starlet Adel Taarabt.
The 17-year-old has joined the White Hart Lane club for the rest of the season, with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.
Spurs' sporting director Damien Comolli said he was delighted to capture Taarabt's signature.
"Adel is recognised as one of the best talents in Europe for his age group and as a club we're especially pleased that we beat several leading Premiership clubs to his signature," Comolli told the club's official website.
"He will be a healthy addition to the squad and is a continuation of our policy of attracting the best young talent as we constantly seek to improve the quality of the team both now and for the future."
The attacking midfielder made his first team debut for the Ligue 1 club earlier this season. He has also represented France at U-16, U-17 and U-18 level.
Taarabt recently claimed he rejected interest from Arsenal and Chelsea in favour of a move to Martin Jol's side.
Meanwhile, Lens say 21-year-old defender Kamil Zayette, who has made only one appearance this season, is on trial at an un-named English club.
The club's director of sport, Francis Collado, also confirmed that midfielder Simon Feindouno would be joining Ligue 2 side Istres on loan during the transfer window.
