Hertha Berlin star Yildiray Basturk has denied he is seeking a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
The Turkish schemer has been linked with Martin Jol's side as he is yet to sign a new deal with his German employers despite his current contract expiring at the end of the season.
Spurs reportedly sent scouts to watch Basturk in action in October, and the player himself was recently quoted as stating his admiration for English football.
However the German-born star has now refuted reports which indicated he was set on a switch to White Hart Lane.
Indeed Basturk has left the door open for a potential stay at Hertha if he can agree terms with the Bundesliga side.
"Those reports are wrong. I am not in touch with them [Tottenham]," said Basturk.
"I enjoy playing for Hertha and they are the first team I will talk to regarding my contract for next season."
