Tottenham are set to be without striker Mido for over a fortnight due a groin complaint.

The 23-year-old did not figure against Wigan on Sunday, as Jol went with Jermain Defoe and Dimitar Berbatov as his front-line pairing.

Jol was probed on his preferred striking options after the 3-1 win and after stating he has no set partnership, confirmed Mido's absence was on account of injury.

"Mido has a little tear in his groin and that's why he wasn't fit for selection," said Jol. "He could be out for a couple of weeks."

Berbatov and Defoe found the back of the net on Sunday, but they have been told not to rest on their laurels.

"There is every chance I could change the partnership for every game," said the Dutchman. "I will always play my best team for each match.

"They have to push me in every training session, every week. If they can do that they are true professionals.

"It is not rotation, I do not like that because the players then wait for their matches to come around. I don't want that - they must be eager."
