Lions land Spurs youngster

Millwall have signed Tottenham Hotspur's reserve-team captain Charlie Lee on a month's loan.

Lee has moved to The Den to build up his experience as he has yet to make his senior debut for Spurs.

He was on the bench for a Uefa Cup tie against Slavia Prague earlier in the season and Tottenham's development coach Clive Allen feels the 19-year-old derive great benefit from his spell with Millwall.

"I think this move will be very good for Charlie," Allen told the club's official website.

"He's done really well for us this season in terms of his performances and the next step for him is to show what he can do in the Football League.

"It will be a big test for him physically, but I know he will be up for it, in fact, I'm sure he'll relish it. What he has to do is show he can play as well."

The defender could make his debut for Willie Donachie's (pictured) side against Doncaster Rovers this weekend, but will not be eligible for the FA Cup second round tie against Bradford City early next month.
