Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson has underlined his delight at the club's capture of Bayer Leverkusen striker Dimitar Berbatov.

Spurs have signed Berbatov for a fee of almost £11 million and, pending a work permit, the move will be completed on July 1.

The Bulgarian international moves to White Hart Lane having accrued a sizeable reputation in Die Bundesliga and Robinson believes the signing bodes well for Spurs.

"He's a very good player who will give us another dimension to our game. He scored a lot of goals in Germany last year and he's got an excellent reputation - he'll be a good addition to our squad," Robinson told Sky Sports News.

As many people's thoughts turn to Wednesday's UEFA Champions League final between Arsenal and Barcelona, Robinson admits he is not overly concerned about who will emerge victorious in Paris.

Instead the England international is focusing solely on training in preparation for the forthcoming World Cup.

"I'm not really worried about that [the Champions League final]. I'm just looking forward to the World Cup, the domestic season's finished with now and I'm just concentrating on World Cup matters now," added Robinson.
