Mounir el Hamdaoui is set to return to action for Derby for the third time this season after his first two stints on loan at the club were cut short through injury.
The 21-year-old first suffered with shoulder problems before damaging his hernia in February, an injury that had expected to keep the Moroccan out for the rest of the season.
Derby boss Terry Westley has admitted the striker is cautious about returning too quickly but insists he will be using the player in the coming weeks.
"He's obviously a bit dubious about returning because he's played here twice and picked up two major injuries," said Westley.
"But under the terms of the loan contract we are paying his wages.
"We'll have a look at his mental condition and if he's in the right frame of mind, he'll train and be available for selection if I want him."
