Jermaine Jenas believes Tottenham Hotspur can handle the pressure in the bid to finish fourth in The Premiership.
Tottenham currently sit in fourth spot, but they have the likes of Arsenal, Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers breathing down their necks for that lucrative place in next season's UEFA Champions League.
Arsenal moved above Spurs for a few hours at least with victory over Charlton Athletic on Saturday, but Martin Jol's men responded by taking all three points from their evening kick-off at Birmingham City.
Jenas insists everyone at White Hart Lane is confident that they can maintain their pursuit of getting that Champions League place.
"The pressure was on with Arsenal winning, but the lads put in a great performance," said Jenas.
"Everyone is really positive. We know how important these games are and we all want that Champions League spot.
"These games, the late kick-offs on a Saturday, are never easy because it's so cold, but the lads gave a good account of themselves.
"The closer it gets, the more pressurised the games will become and the teams that deal with the pressure better will progress.
"But there is enough strength of character in the squad to hold off Arsenal. The mentality and character of the squad is brilliant."
