Tottenham Hotspur are believed to be considering a move for Lens striker Issam Jomaa, according to reports in Tunisia.

The Tunisia international has played just seven games for the Ligue 1 outfit so far this season, but has caught the eye of Spurs boss Martin Jol.

Jomaa, who featured in the Confederations Cup in June, joined Lens in the summer from Tunisian outfit Esperance, and his most telling contribution for the club so far has been two goals in their Uefa Cup campaign.

The 21-year-old will be aiming to further his growing reputation in the upcoming African Cup of Nations in Egypt, with Spurs sure to keep a close watch on his performances for the Carthage Eagles.

If Jol decides to pursue his interest further, Jomaa could become the third African striker at White Hart Lane with Egypt's Mido and Morocco's Mounir el Hamdaoui already on Spurs' books.
