Paul Robinson believes that Tottenham's fighting spirit helped them rescue a point against Middlesbrough on Sunday.

Spurs twice came from behind to earn a share of the spoils in a thrilling game at The Riverside, prompting keeper Robinson to praise his team-mates' never-say-die attitude.

"We have got a lot of character and determination not to be beaten this season," he enthused.

"Maybe we didn't deserve to win the game today but we showed grit and determination and came back to get a point."

Striker Mido, who scored Tottenham's late third, was equally pleased with the way they fought for each other.

"We really worked hard for each other so it was an important result for the team," he said.

"In the second half we showed incredible spirit, even when we were down. We fought for every ball and I think this is a game to be proud of."
