Wigan Athletic boss Paul Jewell has handed a trial to Lens striker Dagui Bakari.
The Ivory Coast international appeared in Wigan's 1-1 draw with Conference club Accrington Stanley, as the hit-man looks to make a move to The Premiership.
The 30-year-old was a former target of Tottenham Hotspur and has also attracted the interest of Ligue 1 new boys Nancy.
With less than week left before the start of the new Premiership season, it remains to be seen if Bakari can do enough to win a contract with The Latics.
Wigan embark on their first-ever campaign in England's top flight with a home clash against champions Chelsea on Sunday, August 14.
