Edgar Davids has finally been unveiled as a Tottenham player.

The Dutchman left Internazionale on a free transfer in order to seal a one-year deal at White Hart Lane after undergoing a medical last week.

"I've spoken to them a couple of years ago already and had a good feeling about it," he told Sky Sports News. "I had the chance to actually come to The Premiership.

"I played in Italy for so long and played in Spain, now is the time for England.

"There's a lot of professionals [in The Premiership] and a lot of joy and also, I hope, some victories.

"I think I will be there for the guys if they really need me for guidance and those sort of things but also I'm a player and think I can learn a lot from them.

"I feel great. I definitely feel great, getting the opportunity to play in the Premier League, one of the best leagues.

"Before I came, I already spoke to a couple of friends, you know all the Dutch players here.

"I try to train as much as possible with the team so I have to stay close to the training ground and fit in as soon as possible.

"I want to challenge to play in the European Cups. I think I can help [with that] but we have a talented group. They are really good guys so I hope that they can lift us."

Davids admitted he would look to start a coaching career once his playing days are over.

"That could be possible," he disclosed. "I've seen a couple of managers in the past and I think I could do it much better!

"It's important to learn and also from the players not just the manager. The players are really talented and gifted.

"Everyone has their own role, I hope they give me the chance to explore that."
