Rami Shaaban has criticised Tottenham for signing keeper Radek Cerny.
The former Arsenal shot-stopper was hoping for a contract offer from Spurs, but was dismayed that Cerny was hired instead.
Shaaban believes the club's relationship with Slavia Prague played a major part, and was critical of the quality of the Czech international keeper.
"As my agent said, it's like signing your own keeper," said Shaaban to fotbolldirekt.com.
"It's about politics and business.
"It would have been easier to accept if he was a better keeper."
Shaaban has been looking for a club since leaving Arsenal in the summer, and has had trials in Germany and England.
