Fredi Kanoute is out of Tottenham's trip to Everton with the hamstring injury that forced him to make a premature exit from the defeat to Manchester United.
The former West Ham forward is naturally disappointed to miss out against the Merseysiders, but Jacques Santini has revealed that there are two pieces of good news coming out of White Hart Lane.
Thimothee Atouba and Sean Davis should both be available for the Goodison Park encounter.
"Dean Richards, Mauricio Taricco, Michael Carrick and, since Manchester United, Kanoute are injured," Santini told Sky Sports News.
"But we have two lots of good news. I hope for the game on Saturday that Atouba and, I hope also, Sean Davis are not injured for this match.
"It is two bits of good news for my team."
Kanoute does not feel the hamstring pull will keep him out of action for too long.
"It's a big disappointment after the beginning of the season as we started very well," said the Mali international.
"I think there is a big improvement since last year. I wanted to take part in every game so I'm a bit disappointed.
"It's not too bad so it's okay, I think that is the only game I will miss because afterwards there is a two-week break due to international duty.
"So I think I will get the chance to recover quickly."
