Bakari rejects Spurs offer

Dagui Bakari has rejected Tottenham's offer of a three-month contract.

Dagui Bakari is set to remain with Championnat outfit Lens, in the short-term, after rejecting Tottenham's offer of a three-month contract.

The 29-year-old Ivory Coast international recently undertook a trial with the White Hart Lane outfit and was pleased with his performances.

With marksman Robbie Keane missing the start of the season due to injury, Spurs only wanted striking cover for the early part of the campaign.

Despite his failed Spurs switch, Bakari's future lies away from Stade Felix-Bollaert and he is unlikely to don the club's shirt in the coming season.

It is believed Premiership clubs Bolton Wanderers and Charlton Athletic are keen to the run the rule over the African striker.
