Blackpool defender Nyron Nosworthy has agreed a contract extension until the end of the season.

The 34-year-old joined the Seasiders back in November and has made four appearances so far.

His initial deal was due to expire at the end of this month but Nosworthy will now remain at Bloomfield Road until the summer.

"No matter where we are it's a challenge. I was brought here to try and improve things and I want to show that I've still got the quality," he told the official club website.

"Pre-injury I was happy with my personal form, but I was able to get my head down and recover quickly.

"It's just a matter of keeping that consistency so we can get a couple of wins. If a team picks up a win you've earned the right to keep your place, so if I get my performances right then I'm adding to the team."
