Boro trio extend deals

Stevenage have handed one-year contract extensions to Lucas Akins, Darius Charles and James Dunne.

Strikers Akins and Charles scored five goals apiece last season but could not prevent Boro being relegated to League Two. Midfielder Dunne spent the last four months of the season on loan at St Johnstone and played in Saturday's Scottish FA Cup final victory over Dundee United. The trio have joined skipper Jon Ashton, goalkeeper Chris Day and midfielders Roarie Deacon, Luke Freeman and Dean Parrett in earning new deals with the club.
