Notts County have signed Aston Villa defender Enda Stevens on a short-term loan deal.
Stevens, a Republic of Ireland Under-21 international, has been given permission by his parent club to make his debut in Tuesday night's Capital One Cup clash at Liverpool in place of the injured Alan Sheehan. The 23-year-old full-back, who made nine first-team appearances for Villa last season, joined the Premier League side at the start of 2012 from Shamrock Rovers, for whom he gained Europa League experience.
