Jamie Ness is set to join the growing list of players to jump ship as Rangers sink into the lower leagues of Scottish football. With the new club unlikely to gain enough votes to allow them entry into the SPL by fellow clubs at the League's AGM on July 4 uncertainty over their future is growing amongst players. An 8-4 majority is needed for them to have Rangers' share in the Scottish Premier League transferred to the newco. But with half of the clubs already saying they will reject the proposal the club may be forced to try to join the Scottish Football League, perhaps in the lowest tier. Steven Naismith and Steven Whittaker have already made their objections to playing for Charles Green's new company public while Sone Aluko and Rhys McCabe are reportedly undecided. And now the 21-year-old Ness is said to be the latest to refuse to join the newco Rangers with more set to follow in the next few days.
