Boss hails non-league players

Bournemouth boss Lee Bradbury says players like Wes Fogden and Charlie Sheringham prove that non-league football is a treasure chest.

The Cherries boss, whose side sit 10th in League One, has already dipped into the semi-professional ranks to sign Fogden and Sheringham, from Havant & Haterlooville and Dartford, for the Dorset club this season. And Bradbury thinks the pair exemplify the talent that can be found below the Football League. "There's a lot of good players in non-league," he said. "A lot of them have already had a chance and come out of the game for one reason or another and they're hungry to get back in. "That hunger is there to be seen, look at the likes of Charlie Sheringham and Wes Fogden - they're great lads, really good pros and they've worked hard, hence why they've found themselves in the team. They've got good quality about them and I'm sure they'll be good players for Bournemouth Football Club. "They get pushed down the ladder a bit, but it's the strongest ones - who are determined and want to win as well as get physically fit and improve technically - who make it."
