Portsmouth midfielder Richard Hughes has expressed his excitement at the prospect of playing alongside Dave Kitson.
Kitson made the move to Fratton Park from Stoke on transfer deadline day along with Liam Lawrence.
Hughes is looking forward to lining up in the same team as the former Reading forward after the international break and is backing the newcomer to make an impact.
"He's a quality player," Hughes told his club's official website: "Every time I've played against him it hasn't been an enjoyable experience.
"He holds the ball up well and is a very clever player. He's really good with his back to goal and he scores a few as well. He'll be a good asset for us.
"The international break can give the new boys a bit of time to settle, so in that sense it's come at a good time."
