Bournemouth midfielder Shaun Cooper has penned a fresh one-year contract with the newly promoted League One club.
The 26-year-old missed most of last season after undergoing surgery on his hip, but returned to make six appearances at the end of the season as Eddie Howe's side clinched automatic promotion.
He was then offered a new contract and is pleased to have committed his future to the Cherries for the next 12 months.
Cooper told the Bournemouth Echo: "I'm just looking forward to pre-season and starting with a clean slate.
"It's not going to be easy winning a place in the team, but I'm relishing the challenge.
"I played a handful of games last season and was conscious of not being the weak link.
"I didn't want to be responsible for doing something which may have cost us getting over the line."
