Portsmouth are in talks with former Tottenham defender Ricardo Rocha, Sky Sports News understands.
The Portuguese stopper was released by Standard Liege at the weekend, which means he is free to move outside the transfer window.
The 31-year-old only joined Standard in the summer following a two-year stint with Spurs.
Now Rocha is in talks with Avram Grant and looks set to sign a deal until the end of the season.
Another free agent who looks to have missed out on a move is Romania international Razvam Cocis.
The 26-year-old, who is available after leaving Lokomotiv Moscow, is reported to have failed to secure a work-permit.
