Robins make enquiry for Watford left-back

Watford manager Malky Mackay has confirmed that Bristol City have made an approach for defender Jon Harley. Skysports.com broke the news of City's interest on Wednesday, and Mackay has now revealed that manager Gary Johnson has made an enquiry for the former Chelsea man. The 30-year-old has been restricted to substitute appearances for the Hornets this season, and Watford could let him go as they try and reduce the club's wage bill. Mackay confirmed that an enquiry from Ashton Gate had been made, although insists Johnson has yet to follow up his interest. "Bristol enquired about Jon Harley but it has gone quiet at the moment," he told the Watford Observer. Watford and Bristol City are currently both mid-table in the Championship and play each other on 9th February.
