Leeds have extended Sam Sodje's loan at Elland Road to take in the League One play-off final.

Defender available to feature in play-offs

Leeds United have extended Sam Sodje's loan at Elland Road to take in the League One play-off final. Sodje has made four appearances for Leeds since joining the club from Reading in March on an initial month-long deal. He has impressed for Simon Grayson's side and will now be available to aid the club's push for promotion to the Championship. "We've extended his loan and Reading have inserted a 24-hour recall which most clubs do on a standard loan," Grayson told the club's official website. "We're grateful Reading have allowed us to keep him, and we're hopeful that they don't have any injuries or suspensions while their season is ongoing." The extension means Sodje can play in the final two games of the regular season and is also eligible to be involved in the play-offs. Leeds, who lost in last season's play-off final to Doncaster Rovers, are all-but guaranteed of a top-six finish, although automatic promotion is out of reach.
