Teenage striker back in England

Andrea Mbuyi-Mutombo is back at Portsmouth after seeing his loan spell at Zulte Waregem come to an end. The 18-year-old striker was sent to the Belgian club at the start of the season and scored three goals in his two starts for the club. The youngster, who was born in DR Congo but has represented Belgium at U18 level, is yet to make an appearance for Pompey. However, with the South Coast club currently languishing towards the foot of the Premier League table, Mutombo is hoping his return to English soil will allow him the opportunity to force his way into Tony Adams' first-team plans. "I am very happy to return to the Premier League, which is the best league in the world," he told skysports.com. "I was only on loan in Belgium and the club knew they would not have me for long, so they did not use me much. "I am proud of what I did, though, scoring three goals in two starts. That shows my qualities. "If coach Adams calls upon me I will be there to help, as we are not scoring enough goals at the moment."
