Portsmouth midfielder Jerome Thomas has made his return from injury in the club's reserves.
The former Charlton man played almost the full game of the second string's 3-2 win over Tottenham on Monday night.
Thomas been sidelined since September after suffering a stress fracture in the base of his spine.
It was feared Thomas could be sidelined for up to three months with the problem, but it appears he is making good progress with the injury.
Thomas will be hoping he has played himself into contention for Pompey's next game against Aston Villa on 18th October.
