Portsmouth target Sidney Govou feels it could be the 'right moment' to leave Lyon.
The winger netted an extra-time winner in the Coupe de France final against Paris Saint Germain on Saturday to secure Lyon their first Double following a seventh consecutive Ligue 1 success.
Pompey manager Harry Redknapp was reportedly at the Stade de France to see Govou sink PSG and he is thought to be battling with Atletico Madrid in a race to sign the French international.
And Govou has hinted that he could now be prepared to walk away from Lyon in order to find a new challenge after 10 years at Stade Gerland.
"I am almost 29-years-old, and I believe I still have a lot of things to achieve in football," Govou said in L'Equipe.
"I am reaching an age when I am aware that, if I have to leave one day, it is the right moment."
Meanwhile, Portsmouth are understood to be monitoring the situation of Nadir Belhadj.
The former Lyon left-back was transferred to Lens in January, but he is now set to leave following the club's relegation to Ligue 2.
