Frank Songo'o could yet have his stay at Crystal Palace extended.
The on-loan Portsmouth winger was told last week by Neil Warnock that his initial spell would not be extended after he failed to impress.
However, Songo'o asked to be given more time and he looks to have played his way back into Warnock's plans after he was recalled for the weekend's draw with West Bromwich Albion.
"I saw him play in the reserves and he was as good as I've seen him," Warnock told the Croydon Guardian.
"I told him he could go back to Portsmouth but he asked me if he could stay and fight for his place and show me what he can do because I thought he was very poor against QPR.
"And he has done that, there was no frills and he has done what I expect players like him to do."
