Rennes have confirmed Portsmouth have completed the signing of Arnold Mvuemba.
The highly-rated midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan at Fratton Park making seven appearances in the side.
Pompey boss Harry Redknapp revealed a three-year deal had been agreed with the player and now Rennes have announced the move has been tied up.
A Rennes statement read: "An agreement has been reached between Portsmouth and Rennes regarding the definitive transfer of Arnold Mvuemba.
"Having been loaned to the English club last January, the midfielder has signed for three years."
